Tartans Finish National Runner-Up at 2026 Division III NCAA Championship

For the second straight season, the Carnegie Mellon University women’s golf team concluded an outstanding year with a national runner-up finish at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships, held at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California. The Tartans recorded a final-round score of 290 (+2) to finish the 72-hole championship with a program-record total of 1,161 (291-295-285-290).
Tartans One Stroke Back Heading into Final Round of 2026 NCAA Championship; Wong Leads Individually After Three Rounds

The Carnegie Mellon University women’s golf team posted the lowest team round of the tournament through three rounds at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships on Thursday, shooting a three-under-par 285 at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California. The Tartans enter Friday’s final round in second place overall with a 54-hole total of 871 (+7) after rounds of 291, 295, and 285, just one stroke behind tournament leader Emory University (+6).

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team continued play at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships on Wednesday at Desert Willow Golf Club in Palm Desert, California. The Tartans recorded a team score of 295 (+7) on the Firecliff Course and have a 36-hole score of 586 (+10) while they are in second place in a field of 34 teams. Following the completion of the second-round, the field was cut to the top 15 teams and the top six individuals not on advancing teams.
WGCA Honors Players; Four Tartans Named All-America

For the third consecutive season, four members of the Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team earned All-America honors from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) with two others earning regional recognition. This also marks the seventh straight year that multiple members have been honored.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team opened play in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Division III Championship on Tuesday at Desert Willow Golf Club in Palm Desert, California. The Tartans carded a team score of three-over par 291 and are currently in the lead after playing the Mountain View Course.
Women’s Golf Headed to Sixth Straight NCAA Championship

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team has been selected to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships. This year’s championships will be held May 19-22, in Palm Desert, California at Desert Willow Golf Resort. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps will be hosting the four-day event.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team carded rounds of 290 and 299 at the 36-hole Deb Jackson Invitational hosted by Emory University and ended the event with a team score of 589 to place second in the 10-team event.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team, ranked second in Division III, carded rounds of 311, 295 and 297 at the 54-hole Max and Susan Stith Invitational hosted by Randolph–Macon College. The Tartans ended the event with a team score of 903 to place third in the 16-team event.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team tied for third of 24 teams at the Jekyll Island Collegiate when play concluded on Sunday. The Tartans had a 54-hole score of 909 (301-299-309).
Wong Named UAA Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week

Sophomore Emma Wong of the Carnegie Mellon University men’s golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week following her performance in leading the Tartans win the Savannah Invitational last week at Club At Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Georgia.
Tartans Win Savannah Invitational Breaking Program Record for Lowest 36-Hole Score; Wong Claims Individual Medalist Honors for Second Time

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team carded rounds of 278 (-14) and 282 (-10) at the 36-hole Savannah Invitational on Tuesday hosted by Berry College. The Cardinal and Gray ended the event with a program record team score of 24-under par 560 to win the 19-team event.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team opened its spring schedule at the Centre College Classic, finishing second out of 12 teams. The Tartans posted a 36-hole team score of 605 (302-303) over two days of competition at Pinehurst Resort & CC par-71, 5,594-yard course.
Tartans Continue Academic Excellence Through Fall Semester

The fall athletics season was highlighted by four team NCAA Championship appearances and six nationally-ranked winter and spring teams, while the Tartans continued to excel in the classroom. An impressive 156 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA, and 67% earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

The Tartans posted a 36-hole team score of 589 (299-290) over two days of competition at Kingsmill Resort’s par-72, 5,639-yard course.
Tartans Place Third at Tartan Invitational, Wong Breaks Single Round School Record

The Carnegie Mellon women’s golf team hosted the Tartan Invitational at the Nemacolin Resort on Monday, October 6 and Tuesday, October 7. The Tartans finished third in a field of 15 teams with a 36-hole score of five-under par 571 (283-288). The two-day event was played at the Nemacolin Resort on Mystic Rock in Farmington, Pennsylvania, which is a par 72, 5,663 -yard course.
