Tartans One Stroke Back Heading into Final Round of 2026 NCAA Championship; Wong Leads Individually After Three Rounds
(PALM DESERT, Calif.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team posted the lowest team round of the tournament through three rounds at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships on Thursday, shooting a three-under-par 285 at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California. The Tartans enter Friday's final round in second place overall with a 54-hole total of 871 (+7) after rounds of 291, 295, and 285, just one stroke behind tournament leader Emory University (+6).

How it Happened:
- Sophomore Emma Wong will take a one-stroke individual lead into the final round after carding a three-under par 69 on Thursday. Wong sits at four-under-par 212 for the championship following rounds of 71, 72, and 69.
- Freshman Alyssa Lim is tied for fifth individually after shooting even-par 72 in the third round. She enters Friday at one-under par 215 (70-73-72).
- Junior Nikita Jadhav recorded her best round of the championship, matching a collegiate-low score with a three-under par 69. Jadhav now owns a 54-hole total of 221 (76-76-69).
- Sophomore Cecilia Jia shot 77 and stands at 225 (74-74-77).
- Junior Samantha Wang also posted her best round of the event with a three-over 75 and has a tournament total of 232 (77-80-75).
