Tartans Tie for Third at Jekyll Island
(JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team tied for third of 24 teams at the Jekyll Island Collegiate when play concluded on Sunday. The Tartans had a 54-hole score of 909 (301-299-309).

How it Happened:
- Sophomore Cecilia Jia led the Tartans over the 54-hole event with a score of six-over par 222 (75-71-72). Jia finished tied for second individually in a field of 120 golfers, as also recorded an eagle on hole eight during play on Sunday.
- Junior Nikita Jadhav also recorded an eagle during the collegiate with hers coming during play on Friday on hole 15. The junior finished with a 54-hole score of 230 (80-76-74) and tied for 15th.
- Freshman Claudia Zhang was a stroke back of Jadhav with a 231 (74-78-79).
- A stroke behind Zhang was classmate Alyssa Lim with a 232 (75-77-80).
- Junior Samantha Wang ended play with a 237 (77-75-85).
