(DOUGLASVILLE, Ga.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team carded rounds of 290 and 299 at the 36-hole Deb Jackson Invitational hosted by Emory University and ended the event with a team score of 589 to place second in the 10-team event.

How it Happened:

  • Freshman Alyssa Lim led the Tartans with a four-over par 146. She opened play with a one-under par 70 and then fired a 75 in the second round. Lim tied for fourth individually in a field of 51 golfers.
  • Junior Samantha Wang and sophomore Cecilia Jia both scored a 36-hole score of six-over par 148 and tied for sixth. Wang carded rounds of 75 and 73 while Jia fired rounds of 76 and 72.
  • Junior Nikita Jadhav and sophomore Emma Wong each finished with 151. Jadhav opened play with a one-over par 72 and then entered the clubhouse with a 79 on the final day. Wong shot a 73 on day one and then a 78 over the final 18 holes.
  • The Tartans had one individual that competed; freshman Jacqueline Zang carded a 78 on Sunday.
