Tartans Continue Academic Excellence Through Fall Semester

The fall athletics season was highlighted by four team NCAA Championship appearances and six nationally-ranked winter and spring teams, while the Tartans continued to excel in the classroom. An impressive 156 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA, and 67% earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Five from Women's Soccer Honored on CSC Academic All-District Team

Five Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division III Women's Soccer.
Locateli and Wang End Careers with All-Region Accolades

Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer seniors Helena Locateli and Vivian Wang have been named to the United Soccer Coaches Region VII team. Both earned a spot on the third team, collecting the first all-region accolade of their careers and the first for a Tartan since 2023.
Tartans End Season in Second Round of NCAA Tournament

The 18th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team was defeated by ninth-ranked Washington and Lee University by a 2-0 score in the second round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Championship on Sunday, November 16. The Tartans end the season with a 10-5-5 record while the Generals move on with an 18-2-2 mark.
#18 Tartans Advance in NCAA Tournament

The 18th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team defeated the University of Scranton in the first round of 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Championship by a 1-0 score on Saturday, November 15 on the campus of Washington and Lee University. The win pushes the Tartans into the second round of the tournament with an overall record of 10-4-5.
Three Tartans Earn All-UAA Recognition

Three Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer players have been honored on the 2025 All-University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Soccer Team. Seniors Helena Locateli and Vivian Wang, along with junior Audrey Bianco all earned second-team honors from the Association's coaches.
#18 Tartans Selected to 12th NCAA Tournament

The 18th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team received an at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship after finishing the regular season with a 9-4-5 record. The Tartans will travel to Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, and begin play on Saturday, November 15. The appearance in the NCAA tournament marks the 12th in 13 years for the program.
#18 Tartans Claim 1-1 Draw with #6 Case Western Reserve

The 18th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team closed the regular season with a 1-1 tie against sixth-ranked Case Western Reserve University at home on Saturday, November 8 to finish the University Athletic Association (UAA) year. The Tartans are 9-4-5 overall and 0-3-4 in the UAA while the Spartans are 13-2-3 and 3-2-2 in the UAA.

The 18th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team competed against the 15th-ranked University of Rochester on Saturday, November 1. The 0-0 tie leaves the Tartans with a record of 9-4-4 overall and 0-3-3 in conference while the Yellowjackets are 8-2-6 and 2-2-2.

The 18th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team played it's fifth straight nationally-ranked opponent in 19th-ranked Brandeis University on Sunday, October 26. The game between the University Athletic Association (UAA) opponents ended in a 1-1 tie moving the Tartans' record to 9-4-3 overall and 0-3-2 in the UAA while Brandeis moves to 7-4-4 and 0-4-1.
Shots Miss Mark in #18 Tartans Loss to #24 NYU

The 18th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team competed against 24th-ranked New York University on Friday, October 24 in University Athletic Association (UAA) action. The Tartans dropped a 2-0 decision and are now 9-4-2 overall and 0-3-1 in conference play while the Violets improve to 9-3-3 and 1-2-1.
#19 Tartans Fall to #2 WashU on the Road

The 19th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team competed against second-ranked Washington University in St. Louis on Sunday, October 19. The Tartans lost 3-0 to the Bears, dropping their record to 9-3-2 overall and 0-2-1 in the University Athletic Association (UAA). The Bears are now 13-0-1 and 3-0-0.

The 16th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team took on the sixth-ranked University of Chicago on Saturday afternoon. The Tartans lost 2-1 to the Maroons, dropping to 9-1-3 overall for the season and 0-0-2 in conference. UChicago advances to 11-0-1 and 2-0-0.
O'Connor Honored as UAA Athlete of the Week

The 16th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team tied against second-ranked Emory University on Sunday, October 5 in the University Athletic Association (UAA) opener for both teams.. The 0-0 score ends the Tartans five game win streak and puts them at 9-1-2 for the season. The Eagles are now 10-0-1.
