O'Connor Honored as UAA Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer senior Abby O'Connor was honored as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week for her efforts in leading the Tartans to a win and a tie this past week.

O'Connor earned two shutouts with a home 1-0 win against Penn State Behrend and a 0-0 tie against second-ranked Emory University. The senior didn't face any shots against Behrend but kept Emory's high-powered offense off the board with four saves.

The 16th-ranked Tartans return to action on Saturday, October 11 against seventh-ranked University of Chicago at 1:30 p.m.
