#16 Tartans and #2 Emory Settle for 0-0 Draw

(PITTSBURGH, PA.) – The 16th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team tied against second-ranked Emory University on Sunday, October 5 in the University Athletic Association (UAA) opener for both teams.. The 0-0 score ends the Tartans five game win streak and puts them at 9-1-2 for the season. The Eagles are now 10-0-1.

  • Only two shots were taken in the first half, both by Emory University.
  • Sophomore Molly Coyne had the first shot for CMU in the 63rd minute of the game, as it went high and wide of the goal.
  • Sophomore Emma Kim hit the second shot within the next minute of the second period. Emory's Sophia Garcia saved the attempt.
  • The final shot of the game was taken by junior Saveria Ulizzi that was turned away by Garcia.
  • Senior Abby O'Connor made four saves in the game for the Tartans.
