Rodgers Named Finalist for 2026 NCAA Division III Dave Williams Coach of the Year Award
(NORMAN, Okla.) – Carnegie Melon University head men's golf coach Dan Rodgers has been named a finalist for the 2026 Division III Dave Williams Award presented by Golf Pride Grips as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The Williams Award honors the national coach of the year in NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, NJCAA Division I, and NJCAA Division II men's golf.
The Tartans have recorded eight top-five finishes this season under Rodgers, including in their last three tournaments, and an eight-stroke victory at the Sam Snead Collegiate on April 14. Ranked fourth via Scoreboard Powered by Clippd, Carnegie Mellon has been led on the course by PING All-Region V golfers Ryan Dannegger, Charlie Hubbard, Joshua Wang, and David Zhang. Wang was named a finalist for the 2026 NCAA Division III Jack Nicklaus Award presented by Workday on Tuesday.
The 2023 NCAA Division III Dave Williams Award presented by Golf Pride Grips recipient, Rodgers is a finalist for the sixth time since being named head coach at Carnegie Mellon in 2016-17 (2017, 2020, 2021, 2023, 2024).
Rodgers is joined by Steve Conley of Methodist, Jordan Cox of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Keenan Hickton of Sewanee, and Dave Schreyer of Huntingdon as the five finalists.
