(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team received an at-large bid to the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship after finishing third in the University Athletic Association. The appearance in the NCAA tournament marks the sixth straight for the program which finished the regular season with a 13-2-2 overall mark.
The ninth-ranked Tartans will host a four-team regional on Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12. Joining Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh will be Farmingdale State (13-7-2), Franklin College (14-4), and Arcadia University (15-5).
The Tartans will face Farmingdale State, winners of the Skyline Conference, while Franklin, who won the Heartland Conference, will play Arcadia, winners of the MAC Commonwealth Conference.
The winners of each game will play on Sunday, November 12 in a second round contest.
