Bio

The 2014 season will mark the first for Todd Gilcrist on the Carnegie Mellon staff as the wide receivers coach.  Gilcrist oversees video editing and recruiting for the Tartans.  

Prior to his arrival at Carnegie Mellon, Gilcrist coached at Thiel College as the Tomcats wide receiver and assistant strength and conditioning coach for one year. The Thiel receiving corps saw a spike in offensive production posting 1,455 yards receiving and 14 toucdowns in a heavy run offense.  The 14 touchdowns was the most since the 2008-2009 season.

During the 2012 season, he coached at Maine Maritime Academy, working primarily with the defensive backs and returners.

Gilcrist is a 2012 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts degree in media and professional communications.  While at Pittsburgh, after transfering from Duquesne University, Gilcrest was a three-year member of the Panther football team.  Gilcrist was a contributor on special teams and played both safety and wide receiver during his time with the Panthers.
