Tartans Host SFU in First Invite of the Season
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team hosted the first invite of the season, welcoming Saint Francis University on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31.
Doubles Results
- The Tartans won nine of their 18 doubles matches against SFU.
- Senior Divya Venkatarama won three matches with three separate partners: sophomore Ancele Dolensek, sophomore Kotistha Modak, and sophomore Rachel Li.
- Dolensek, Modak, and sophomore Shelly Zinchenko each won two doubles matches.
Singles Results
- The Tartans won 23 of their 36 singles matches.
- Both Zinchenko and freshman Jane Wong won all four of their singles matches.
- Modak came out on top in all three of her matches.
- Senior Anika Joshi and freshman Ika Kanumuri each won three of their four matches.
- Junior Ainika Hou was victorious in both of her matches.
- Li also won two matches, while Dolensek and freshman Allison Hsieh each won one.
