(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The 10th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team hosted fifth-ranked Denison University on Saturday, April 4. The Big Red won the match by a 5-2 score to push the Tartans' record to 10-2 for the season while they improved to 15-2.

Inside the Results

  • Senior Akshay Joshi and freshman Ian Miller won their second doubles match by a 6-2 score before Denison's number one pair won 6-2.
  • The Tartans earned the doubles point when sophomores Alex Feies and Takeshi Koey won a tiebreaker, 7-6 (7-4).
  • Denison was able to battle for five straight wins in singles play before Miller finished his sixth singles match with a 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 win.

The Tartans will travel to Fredericksburg, Virginia, for an invitational at the University of Mary Washington with matches set to be played on Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11.
