(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The 10th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team hosted fifth-ranked Denison University on Saturday, April 4. The Big Red won the match by a 5-2 score to push the Tartans' record to 10-2 for the season while they improved to 15-2.
Inside the Results
- Senior Akshay Joshi and freshman Ian Miller won their second doubles match by a 6-2 score before Denison's number one pair won 6-2.
- The Tartans earned the doubles point when sophomores Alex Feies and Takeshi Koey won a tiebreaker, 7-6 (7-4).
- Denison was able to battle for five straight wins in singles play before Miller finished his sixth singles match with a 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 win.
Up Next
The Tartans will travel to Fredericksburg, Virginia, for an invitational at the University of Mary Washington with matches set to be played on Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11.
