Tartans Host Second Invitational Against Division I and II Opponents

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team hosted their second invite of the season, competing against Duquesne University and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) on Friday, September 19, and included Slippery Rock University on Saturday, September 20.

Singles Results

• The Tartans won 15 of their 27 singles matches.
• Sophomore Shelly Zinchenko won all three of her singles matches against IUP and Slippery Rock.
• Freshman Ika Kanumuri won both of her matches against IUP.
• Sophomore Victoria Gazda won two of her three matches against IUP and Slippery Rock.
• Sophomore Kotistha Modak won one match against Duquesne.
• Sophomore Ancele Dolensek and freshman Jane Wong won their matches against IUP.
• Seniors Anika Joshi and Manuela Van Cotthem both won one match against Slippery Rock.

Doubles Results

• The Tartans won seven of their 16 doubles matches against IUP, Duquesne, and Slippery Rock.
• Kanumuri and Modak won two matches, defeating both Duquesne and IUP.
• Zinchenko and Wong won against Duquesne and IUP.
• Junior Ainika Hou won two doubles match with two separate partners,  Zinchenko and Gazda.
