Tartans Score Three in Road Victory

(CRESSON, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team traveled to compete against Mount Aloysius College on Tuesday, September 30. The Tartans won 3-1. This puts them at 7-1-3 overall, while the Mounties are 7-3-0.

Inside the Box Score

• Senior William Burger got his first start of the season and made two saves while earning the win.
• In the first half, the Tartans took seven shots and the Eagles took four. 
• At 15:16 in, sophomore Drew McKim was the first to score with an assist from sophomore Leo Salvucci.
• At 19:56 Idan Garten scored the Tartans second goal of the night.
• The Mounties cut the deficit in half in the 21st minute with a goal by Gonzalo Terricabris.
• In the second half the Tartans took four shots and the Mounties took three.
• Freshman Mateas Fitzwilliam scored the third goal for the Tartans in the 70th minute off assists from freshman Paxton Hafner and sophomore Tristan Gonzalez.
• The Tartans totaled 11 shots, five of which were on goal.
