Dimitrijevic Leads All Scorers as Tartans Fall at WashU
(ST. LOUIS, Mo.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's basketball team traveled to Washington University in St. Louis on Friday for a University Athletic Association (UAA) contest. The Tartans fell to the Bears 73-64 and are now 10-10 overall and 2-7 in UAA play while the Bears are now 14-7, 4-6.

How it Happened
- Midway through the first half, a triple by graduate student Nolan Casey off an assist by graduate student Nikola Dimitrijevic gave the Tartans a 19-14 advantage.
- A 10-2 run by WashU put the Bears back in the lead 24-21 with 6:27 remaining in the half.
- At the 6:04 mark, Dimitrijevic knotted the score at 24-all with a three-point bucket off an assist by sophomore Ian Brown, but the Bears then closed the half on an 11-4 run and took a 35-28 lead into the locker room.
- The home team started the second half on a 12-2 run and extended the lead to 47-30 with 16:25 to play.
- Carnegie Mellon didn't go away as they used a 14-4 run with five different Tartans scoring in the span and cut the deficit to 60-53 with 7:21 showing on the clock.
- Over the next four minutes, the Bears scored 11 straight points and pushed their lead back to double figures at 71-53.
- The Tartans continued to fight and closed the final 3:38 of the contest with an 11-2 run, including eight points from graduate student Sam Adusei over the final two minutes, but it wasn't enough as WashU held on for the 73-64 victory.

- The Tartans ended the game shooting 25-56 (44.6%) from the floor and 6-20 (30%) from behind the arc.
- The Tartans held the lead for 22.7% of the game.
- Dimitrijevic led the Tartans with a total of 19 points. He shot 8-15 from the floor and also had a team-high of seven rebounds.
- Adusei scored 12 points and DeJardin scored nine.
- Sophomore Evan Mirazimi also scored nine points and had a team-high of three steals.

- The Bears ended the game shooting 27-59 (45.8%) from the floor and 6-19 (31.6) from behind the arc.
