Dimitrijevic Scores Career-High in Tartans Setback at Brandeis
(WALTHAM, Mass.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's basketball team traveled to Waltham, Massachusetts on Friday to play the Judges of Brandeis University in University Athletic Association (UAA) action. The Tartans dropped an 88-72 contest and are now 10-6 overall and 2-3 in UAA play while the Judges move to 11-6, 4-2.

How it Happened
- The Tartans took the early 6-5 lead following a layup by graduate student Nikola Dimitrijevic.
- Brandeis then connected on back-to-back three-point baskets and a pair of free throws to give the home team a 13-6 advantage four minutes into play.
- With eight minutes left in the first half, Brandeis used a 7-2 run to take a 34-23 lead off a fastbreak layup by Elias Rodl.
- The Judges then used an 11-4 run over the final 4:48 of the half and took a 50-35 lead into the locker room.
- A triple by senior Buckley DeJardin three minutes into the second half cut the deficit under double digits at 52-43, but over the next two minutes the Judges used a 9-2 run and led 61-45.
- Brandeis sustained its double figure lead the rest of the way and went on for the 88-72 victory.

- The Tartans converted 1-of-17 from behind the arc in the first half and finished the game shooting 11.1% (3-27) from long range, while shooting 36.5% (23-63) from the floor.
- Dimitrijevic led the Tartans with a career-high 23 points, as he went 7-of-10 from the floor and converted 9-of-11 from the foul line.
- Sophomore Evan Mirazimi recorded his second career double-double with 13 points and tied his career-high with 11 rebounds.
- Sam Adusei finished with 13 points and DeJardin ended with 10 points and tied his career-high with four assists.

- In the first half, the Judges shot 62.1% from the floor and converted 7-of-13 (53.8%) from behind the arc, as they finished the game shooting 54.2% (32-59) from the floor and 45.5% (10-22) from long range.
- Rodl led Brandeis with 23 points while DJ Courtney ended with 16 points and six assists.
- Aedan Using finished with 13 points and a team-high 10 rebounds. Alex Zakheim also scored 13 points for Brandeis.

- DeJardin has 977 points for his career and needs 23 more to become the 23rd Tartan to reach 1,000 points for their career.
