Tartans Drop Hard Fought Five Set Match to Albion
(ALLIANCE, Ohio) – The Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team continued play at the Mount Union Invitational with a match against Albion College. The Tartans lost the match in five sets and move to 1-2 overall on the young season.

- The Tartans won the first and fourth set by scores of 25-17 and 25-16, respectively. They lost the second, third and fifth by 25-23, 25-18 and 15-13.
- Albion hit a .268 to the Tartans .232.
- Graduate student Laura Reichard led the team's offense with 14 kills out of the total 67 in the game.
- Junior Bella Woodard and freshman Katherine Marshall both had 12 kills.
- Sophomore Neha Tummala handed out 50 assists in the setback.
- Senior Abby Chen collected 25 digs to lead the Cardinal and Gray, followed by Reichard with 17.
- Reichard and Tummala each collected three aces, leading the Tartans.
Notes
- Woodard 12 kills was a career-high. The sophomore posted nine last season against NYU.
- Tummala set a new career-high with 50 assists topping her 45 assist performance a year ago against SUNY-Geneseo.
- Chen was named to the All-Tournament Team.
