(FREDERICKSBURG, Va.) – The 14th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team continued play on Saturday, March 28 at the University of Mary Washington against second-ranked Washington University of St. Louis. The Bears completed the sweep and won 7-0. The Tartans are now 11-3 overall and the Bears are 12-1.

Inside the Results

  • The Bears earned the doubles point when the second and first pairs were victorious. They later won at third doubles.
  • Freshman Ika Kanumuri and sophomore Victoria Gazda each won their first sets at fourth and sixth singles, respectively, but eventually lost their matches in three tough sets.
  • Freshman Jane Wong  went three sets at first singles by winning 6-2 in the second but eventually fell by a match score of, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.
