Tartans Earn Important Road Win to Close the Fourth Week of the Season

(BEREA, Ohio) – The 19th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team defeated Baldwin Wallace University on the road on Sunday afternoon. The Tartans' 3-1 victory raised their record to 7-1-1 overall while Baldwin Wallace falls to 0-6-2.

• After a scoreless 25 minutes in the first half, freshman Olivia Hoffman scored the first goal of the game off a penalty kick.
• Baldwin Wallace answered back with a high center goal in the 31st minute of the game.
• The Tartans ended the tie five minutes into the second half with a low right shot by junior Audrey Bianco.
• Sophomore Alma Zhong scored the final goal for the Tartans with six seconds left in the game, sending the Tartans home with a 3-1 win.
• The Tartans tallied a total of 27 shots in the game with 13 on goal compared to four shots with three on goal for the Yellowjackets.
• Freshman Delaney Martin earned her second win in goal after playing the final 42 minutes while not facing any shots.
