Tartans Place 11th at NCAA Championships; Coyle and Podnar Earn All-America
(TERRE HAUTE, In.) – The Carnegie Mellon men's cross country team traveled to the Rose Hulman Institute of Technology for the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday. In the 8k race, the Tartans placed 11th overall in a field of 32 teams with two runners earning All-America.

Results
- Senior Matthew Coyle crossed the finish line first for the Tartans in a time of 24:22.7, placing 13th overall in a field of 294 runners.
- Junior Ryan Podnar finished next, placing 25th overall with a time of 24:33.3.
- Senior Colin McLaughlin completed the race in a time of 25:03.6, placing 81st overall.
- Senior Aleksei Seletskiy earned a time of 25:17.2 and finished 115th.
- Senior Eamon Brady placed 120th with a time of 25:18.8.
- Senior Anthony Toskin earned a time of 25:51.5 and classmate Seth Williams finished in 26:28.6.
Notes
- Coyle and Podnar earned All-America.
- They become the first Tartans to garner the accolade since Matt Karee in 2021 when he placed 17th at the national event.
- It marks the second time in program history that the Tartans have had two runners earn All-America at NCAAs in the same year. The other time was in 1981 when Michael Short placed third and John Wessels 12th.
