Feies Season Ends in NCAA Quarterfinals

May 24 - (CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.) – Carnegie Mellon University sophomore men's tennis athlete Alex Feies competed in the quarterfinals of the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Singles Championship on Sunday hosted by University of the South in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Feies, ranked sixth in the nation, played 11th-ranked Andreas Sillaste, a junior at Amherst College, and dropped a 5-7, 6-3, 4-6 decision after play started outside but was moved indoors for completion.

Feis is the first Tartan to advance to the quarterfinals since Abhishek Alla in 2016. That year, Alla advanced to the semifinals before bowing out.
