Feies Advances to Quarterfinals of NCAA Singles Bracket

(CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.) – Carnegie Mellon University sophomore men's tennis athlete Alex Feies competed in the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Singles Championship on Saturday hosted by University of the South and Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Feies, ranked sixth in the nation, opened the tournament against Warren Pham of CMS who is ranked 19th nationally and won in straight sets 6-4, 6-4. The sophomore then faced Dominik Knutson of Gustavus Adolphus College in the round of 16 and took down the 29th-ranked singles player 6-1, 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals.

On Sunday, Feies will play Andreas Sillaste of Amherst College. Last season Sillaste defeated Feies 6-4, 7-5 in the opening round of the NCAA Singles Championship. Sillaste is ranked 11th nationally.
