Three Named to CSC Academic All-District Team
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Three Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division III Men's Tennis.
The Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Athletes honored were selected by their school's Athletics Communications professionals. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's days of competition for a scored dual match and carry at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and have achieved at least sophomore academic and athletic standing.
Academic All‐District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All‐America ballot. First‐, second‐ and third-team Academic All‐America honorees will be announced in June, following a vote by CSC's membership, which is comprised of more than 3,000 sports information and athletic communication professionals throughout the United States and Canada.
This year's honorees for the Tartans are:
Raghav Jangbahadur - So. - 4.00 - Computer Science
Akshay Joshi - Jr. - 4.00 - Mechanical Engineering
Daniel Kong - So. - 3.81 - Business Administration
Joshi is a two-time honoree.
