#26 Tartans Win Fourth Straight With 5-2 Victory Over Stevens Institute of Technology
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The 26th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team hosted Stevens Institute of Technology on Saturday afternoon and won 5-2. The Tartans have now won four straight dual matches and are now 7-4 while the Ducks move to 3-4.
How it Happened:
- The Ducks earned the doubles point winning at the first and second spots, but the Tartans third tandem of freshman Alex Feies and sophomore Daniel Kong won 6-3.
- Freshman Brendan Hendrata took the first point of singles play with a 6-0, 6-1 win at the third spot.
- Sophomore Raghav Jangbahadur then won 6-0, 7-5 at number two followed by a 6-2, 6-1 win at the top spot by Feies to make the score 3-1.
- Stevens then claimed the team point with a win at four singles before freshman Will Secord clinched the match for the Cardinal and Gray with a 6-2, 6-3 win at five singles.
- Freshman Takeshi Koey closed the match with a 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-X) win at six singles.

- The Tartans will travel to Sandusky, Ohio, to play University Athletic Association foe the University of Chicago on Saturday, March 29. Completion will begin at 2:00 p.m.
