#20 Tartans Fall in Tight Battle to #15 Sewanee

(ATLANTA, Ga.) – The 20th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team started spring break with a match against 15th-ranked Sewanee on Saturday, March 1 at Emory University. The Tartans fell 5-2 and are now 3-3 on the season.

How it Happened

  • Sewanee earned the doubles point by sweeping the three matches by scores of 6-4, 6-4, and 6-3.
  • The Tigers picked up a win at sixth singles before sophomore Daniel Kong won, 6-1, 6-4, at fourth singles.
  • Sewanee then won at first and third singles before sophomore Raghav Jangbahadur won, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 at second singles.
