Tartans End Play in Third Place at Capitol City Classic
(PRATTVILLE, Ala.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed at the Capitol City Classic on Monday and Tuesday at the RTJ Golf Trail at Capitol Hill and recorded a team score of 875 (293-282-300). The Tartans placed third in a field of 18 teams.

How it Happened:
- Senior David Zhang finished the 54-hole event with a two-under par 214. He started the classic with a round of one-over par 73, then carded a one-under par 71 and ended play with a two-under par 70. Zhang placed fifth individually in a field of 95 golfers
- Junior Ryan Dannegger fired a four-under par 68 in the second round after posting a round of even par 72 in round one. The sophomore closed play with a 77 for a 217 and tied for eighth.
- Freshman Joshua Wang opened play on Monday with back-to-back rounds of one-under par 71 and then carded a 76 on Tuesday for a 218.
- Freshman Charlie Hubbard fired a 227 (78-72-77) over the 54-hole classic.
- Freshman Jason Chan recorded a three-round score of 229 (77-74-78).
