Tartan “B” Team Wins Guy & Jeanna Kuhn Invite

(MEADVILLE, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon men's golf 'B' team finished play at the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Invitational on Monday. The Tartans fired a total score of 578 (294-284), placing first overall in a field of 13 teams.

How it Happened:

  • Sophomore Will Blankenship was the top finisher for the Tartans, tying for first place in a field of 63 golfers. He carded a three-under par 141 (72-69). Blankenship unfortunately lost the tiebreaker for individual medalist honors. Allegheny's Conner Bell was named individual medalist on the tiebreaker, which is the best second round score. Bell fired rounds of 74-67.
  • Sophomore Andy Yu fired a one-under par 143 (71-72) to earn third place overall.
  • Junior Steven Shea carded a four-over par 148 (77-71). This put him in a three-way tie for seventh place.
  • Senior Jay Saluja and freshman Charlie Hubbard finished the competition in a tie for 12th place. Saluja carded 150 (74-76) and Hubbard 150 (78-72).
