Tartans In Fourth Following Second Round of 2025 NCAA Championship
(PENFIELD, N.Y.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team continued its run at the 2025 NCAA Division III Championship on Wednesday, competing in the second round at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, New York. The Tartans posted a team score of 300 (+12), bringing their 36-hole total to 598 (+22), and currently sit in fourth place out of 43 teams heading into Thursday's third round. Following the second round, the field was cut to the top 18 teams and the top six individuals not on advancing teams. The final two rounds will be held at Midvale Country Club.

How it Happened:
- Freshman Leonardo Vieira fired a round of even par 72 Wednesday and has a two-day total of of three-over par 147 (75-72). Vieira will head into the third round of play tied for 12th individually in a field of 225 golfers.
- Senior Justin Chan ended the second round with a three-over par 75 and will begin play on Thursday with a 36-hole score of 149 (74-75).
- Freshman Andy Yu fired a four-over par 76 and is tied with Chan with a 149 (73-76).
- Sophomore Ryan Dannegger recorded a second-round 76, giving him a two-round score of 153 (76-77).
- Junior David Zhang has a 160 (82-78).
