(JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team concluded play at the Jekyll Island Collegiate on Sunday firing a 54-hole team score of 899 (299-302-288). The Tartans placed tied for 16th in a field of 30 teams.

How it Happened:

  • Senior Justin Chan led the Tartans with a 221 after carding rounds of 76, even par 72 and one-over par 73. Chan placed tied for 44th individually in a field of 150 golfers
  • Sophomore Ryan Dannegger recorded a collegiate-low round of five-under par 67 on Sunday and finished with a 222 (78-77-67).
  • An under-par round was also recorded by junior David Zhang on Sunday, when he fired a one-under 71 and finished the 54-hole event with a 227 (79-77-71).
  • Freshman Leonardo Vieira carded 230 (73-80-77).
  • Freshman Andy Yu ended with a 233 (72-76-85).
  • Competing as an individual was freshman Will Blankenship, as he carded a 229 (80-73-76).
