Chan Named UAA Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Senior Justin Chan of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Golf Athlete of the Week following his performance in leading the Tartans at the 2024 Golfweek October Classic last week.

Chan claimed individual medalist honors at the Golfweek October Classic, as he carded rounds of four-under par 67, five-under par 66 and two-under par 69 for a 54-hole score of 11-under par 202. The individual medalist honor for Chan was the first of his collegiate career. His score of 11-under par is the third lowest individual 54-hole total in the program's history.

Chan has now carded par or under in eight of his nine rounds this season and has an average of 69.2 per round.

The Tartans will travel to North Carolina to compete in the O'Briant Jensen Memorial on Monday and Tuesday, October 28-29, at Sedgefield Country Club.
