Tartans Open Play at Flower City Preview

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team opened play on Sunday at the Flower City Preview which was played at Midvale Country Club. Following 36 holes of the 54-hole event, the Tartans are seventh after carding rounds of 286 and 284 for a 570 (-6).

How it Happened:

• Senior Justin Chan fired a four-under par 68 in round two and has a 36-hole score of 140 (72-68). He is tied for 14th individually in a field of 90 golfers.
• Freshman Leonardo Vieira fired rounds of one-under par 71 and even par 72 for a 143.
• Two rounds of even par 72 for junior David Zhang and sophomore Steven Shea gave them both a 36-hole score of 144.
• Sophomore Ryan Dannegger opened play with a one-under par 71 and the carded a 75 for a 146.
