#22 Tartans Rebound with Sweep of Muhlenberg

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The 22nd-ranked Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team rebounded from a Thursday evening defeat to top Muhlenberg College by a 3-0 score on Friday, September 19. The Tartans are now 10-3 overall while the Mules fall to 7-7.

Inside the Box Score

• The Tartans started strong with a .410 hitting percentage to win set one, 25-22. They followed with a 25-18 set-two score, and a 25-23 victory in set three.
• Junior Kate Giang led the offense with 15 kills while senior Katherine Jackson hit .458 and had 12 kills.
• Junior Zoe Gavros had 29 digs to lead the defense while senior Kai Herchenroether had three block assists and seven kills for the night.
• Junior Neha Tummala pushed around 28 assists and had nine digs.
• Freshman Melissa Jin collected four service aces while Tummala had three.
