Tartans Win Fifth Straight, Down Grove City in Straight Sets

(GROVE CITY, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon women's volleyball team traveled to Grove City College on Tuesday, as the Tartans defeated the Wolverines in three sets. This puts the Tartans at 7-1 and winners of five straight while the Wolverines are now 6-1 overall.

• The Tartans won with set scores of 25-7, 25-14, and 26-24.
• The Tartans hit .343, while the Wolverines hit .087.
• Senior Katherine Jackson recorded a team-high 13 kills to lead the offense. Junior Kate Giang had 10.
• Senior Bella Woodard and freshman Sophia Pan each hot .438 and tabbed nine kills.
• Junior Neha Tummala was responsible for 39 of the Tartan's 42 assists. She also had three aces.
• Junior Zoe Gavros and Jackson had 13 and 12 digs, respectively.
• Pan, Woodard, senior Kai Herchenroether, and freshman Caroline Smith each had one block assist.
