(MEADVILLE, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team traveled to Allegheny College on Friday, October 4 and earned a 3-2 win against the Gators to advance to 11-6 for the season.

Inside the Box Score

The Tartans won the first two sets with 26-24 and 25-19 scores. The Gators then won two straight by scores of 25-20 and 25-21 before the Tartans pulled out a 15-11 win in the fifth set.

  • Graduate student Laura Reichard collected another double-double with 20 kills and 22 digs.
  • Senior Abby Chen led the defense with a career-best 33 digs.
  • Juniors Bella Woodard and Katherine Jackson had 14 and 10 kills, respectively.
  • The Tartans hit .166 as a team with Woodard hitting .257 and Reichard hitting .246.
  • Sophomore Neha Tummala dished out 48 assists and had 15 digs.
  • Woodard, Jackson, and junior Julianna McFarland each had three block assists.
