Wong Ends Season in NCAA Singles Bracket

(CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.) – Carnegie Mellon University freshman women's tennis athlete Jane Wong competed in the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Singles Championship on Friday with a round of 32 match hosted by University of the South and Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Wong, ranked 17th in the nation, opened the tournament against Elsie Van Wieren of Middlebury College who is ranked seventh nationally. Wong fell by the scores of 6-3, 6-3.

It marked the second straight year that the Tartans had an individual competing at the championship, as sophomore Shelly Zinchenko competed in the NCAA Singles Championship a year ago.
