(GAMBIER, Ohio) – The Carnegie Mellon women's tennis team, ranked seventh nationally, traveled to Gambier, Ohio on Saturday and dropped a 4-1 contest to 14th-ranked Kenyon College. The Tartans move to 15-5 while Kenyon is now 16-5.

Inside the Results

  • In doubles play, the Tartans third tandem of sophomores Rachel Li and Shelly Zinchenko were the first to finish with a 6-2 victory, but the Owls then took first and secodn doubles to secure the team point.
  • Kenyon expanded its lead to 3-0 with wins at second and third singles.
  • A 6-4, 6-3 victory by sophomore Kotistha Modak at four singles made the score 3-1
  • Kenyon secured the match with a win at the top spot in singles play.
