Tartans Finish Kenyon Invite in Second Place
(GAMBIER, Ohio) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team finished second out of seven teams at the Kenyon College Total Performance Invitational that concluded on Saturday, November 22.
Top Performances
- Senior Savannah Xu placed second in the 200-yard backstroke in an NCAA B Cut time of 2:00.91. Freshman Lili Trinh was eighth in 2:06.53.
- Senior Audrey Soetanto and sophomore Natalia Evans-Gibson touched at the same time to place third in the 200-yard butterfly in an NCAA B Cut time of 2:04.76. Senior Sophie Elliott was fifth in 2:05.72.
- Junior Elizabeth Shaffer was fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:22.40 with sophomore Allie Kim placing seventh in 2:23.67 and freshman Julia Gregory placed 10th in 2:32.53.
- Freshman Audrey Gil finished 11th in the 100-yard freestyle in 51.96 with junior Anna Zaniolo touching 13th in 52.08.
- Junior Jessica Zheng finished 22nd in the 1,650-yard freestyle in 19:07.60.
- The 400-yard freestyle relay of Gil, freshman Alefiya Dhansura, freshman Victoria Sun, and Zaniolo placed fourth in 3:29.17 to close the meet.
