Tartan Women Earn UAA Swimming and Diving Weekly Honors
November 19, 2019Carnegie Mellon University women’s swimming freshman Tiffany Tseng (Westford, Mass. / Westford Academy) and diving junior Maddie Mianzo (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) were named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week. Tseng earns her first honor of the season while Mianzo earns her second. -

November 02, 2019The Carnegie Mellon University women’s swimming and diving team traveled to Grove City College for a dual meet, topping the Wolverines 239-55. -
Tartans Win Dual with Case Western Reserve
October 26, 2019The Carnegie Mellon University women’s swimming and diving team hosted Case Western Reserve University on Homecoming and defeated the Spartans in a dual meet, 201-97. The Tartans opened the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay before winning 11 other events. -
Divers Sweep UAA Athlete of the Week Awards
October 22, 2019Carnegie Mellon University junior Maddie Mianzo (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) and sophomore James Kyle (Austin, Texas / St. Stephen’s Episcopal School) of the swimming and diving teams earned University Athletic Association (UAA) Diving Athlete of the Week honors following their season-opening performances at the Kenyon College Relays. -

October 19, 2019The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team participated in the Kenyon College Relays on Saturday, October 19. The Tartans finished second to Kenyon with 84 points, while topping the College of Wooster, Ohio Wesleyan University, and Ohio Northern University. -
Five Athletes Honored as Andrew Carnegie Society Scholars

This year, five athletes are included on the list of 40 honorees – Taylor Brown (San Antonio, Texas / Johnson) of women’s swimming and diving, Fred Dauphin (Brockton, Mass. / Cardinal Spellman) of men’s track and field, Josh Kalapos (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Mt. Lebanon) of men’s cross country and track and field, Liam Walsh (Gaithersburg, Md. / Quince Orchard) of men’s cross country and track and field and Camille Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio / The Seven Hills School) of women’s soccer. -

Brendan Heller to Join Swimming and Diving Staff
June 20, 2019Carnegie Mellon University men’s and women’s swimming and diving head coach Matt Kinney has announced Brendan Heller as the next full-time assistant coach for both programs. Heller joins the Tartan staff after serving as head swim coach at Sacred Heart Greenwich in Greenwich, Connecticut, for four years.
