Bianco Honored as UAA Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University junior Audrey Bianco was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week for her performance over a three-game stretch for the Tartans from September 8-14. The honor is the first of the season for Bianco and the Tartans.

The Tartans recorded a 2-0-1 week with two shutouts, as Bianco scored four goals. The junior forward scored once and recorded two assists in the team's 10-0 home victory against Washington & Jefferson College on Wednesday, while she recorded the game's tying goal in a 1-1 tie at Shenandoah in the opening minutes of the second half. Bianco followed that with both goals in the 2-0 win at Cortland on Sunday, recording the third multi-goal game of her career and first of the season. Bianco is on a four-game goal-scoring streak.

The Tartans continue the season on Wednesday, September 17 at Grove City College at 7:00 p.m.
