Tartans Finish Runner-up at Historic Triangle Invitational
(WILLIAMSBURG, Va.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team concluded its fall season with a strong showing at the Historic Triangle Invitational, finishing second out of 14 teams. The Tartans posted a 36-hole team score of 589 (299-290) over two days of competition at Kingsmill Resort's par-72, 5,639-yard course.

How it Happened
- Junior Samantha Wang tied for the top spot following the second round with a 36-hole score of one-under par 143 after carding rounds of two-under par 70 and one-over par 73. Wang entered a playoff with Emory's Amanda Zheng, who secured the individual title with a win on the first playoff hole (No. 18).
- Freshman Alyssa Lim finished with a one-over par 145, putting her in fourth place overall. Lim carded a two-over par 74 on Monday and then followed with a one-under par 71 in the final round.
- Sophomore Emma Wong tied for 13th with a seven-over par 151 (76-75).
- After carding 81 in the opening round, sophomore Cecilia Jia entered the clubhouse on Tuesday with a one-under par 71 for a 152.
- Junior Nikita Jadhav completed play with 155 (76-76).
- The Tartans had two individuals that competed; freshman Jacqueline Zang carded 149 (74-75) to place sixth individually and sophomore Caroline Fixter shot 163 (84-79).
