(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The 19th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team hosted La Roche University on Tuesday, December 17 after a week break for finals and topped the Redhawks, 72-47, putting them at 9-0 for the season. The Redhawks are now 7-4 overall.
Inside the Box Score
- Senior Anisha Chintala scored the first basket of the game with a layup following her own steal, as the Tartans opened the game with a14-point run.
- Junior Nicole Timko made a three-pointer at 2:44 remaining in the first quarter for the team's 14th point.
- With 2:06 remaining in the first quarter, the Redhawks scored their first point of the game which started a seven-point scoring streak to end the frame.
- Senior Catherine Or scored the first points of the second quarter with a jump shot at 8:31 on the clock and went on to score seven for the period to lead all players with 13 points at the break.
