Tartans Stay Undefeated with 92-45 Win Against Carlow
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team defeated Carlow University, 92-45, in the team's fourth home game of the season, making them rise to 7-0 for the season. The Celtics fall to 2-4 on the year.

- Senior Anisha Chintala made the first play of the game when she stole the ball in the first minute and assisted a layup made by junior Ava Arias.
- Chintala made another steal 35 seconds later which turned into a layup made by junior Savannah Gibbs, making the score 4-0 before the end of the first minute.
- The Tartans added four more points to the scoreboard before Carlow scored their first basket with 2:31 off the clock.
- The Tartans then went on a 14-point streak to end the first quarter leading 22-2.
- Junior Nicole Timko scored the first basket in the second quarter nine seconds in and later converted a layup off an assist by junior Piper Ligotti to make the score 28-3.
- Carlow started a strong climb against the Tartans with four quick points but the Tartans kept a 20-plus point lead through the end of the second quarter and led 39-16 at the break.
- The Tartans continued to push it in the third quarter and shot 61.1% from the floor while making 3-of-6 from long range to extend their lead to 34 points at 68-34.
- Chintala led the team in the third quarter with nine points and three steals.
- The Tartans shot 52.9% in the fourth frame with the bench accounting for the full 10 minutes played and 24 points. Freshman Anya Peper led the ground with seven points on 3-of-3 shooting from the field.

- Arias led the team offensively with a career-best 17 points after a perfect performance from the field at 6-of-6 including two made from long range.
- Timko followed with a season-high tying 13 points while Gibbs tallied 10 points in 15 minutes of action.
- Senior Catherine Or led all players with ten rebounds and a career and season-tying seven assists.
- Chintala closed three quarters of play with a season-high five steals.
- The team shot 51.4% for the game and had a season-low nine turnovers.

- Nina Cano led the team with 13 points and nine rebounds.
- Shaelyn Clark added 12 points, four rebounds, and three assists.
- The team shot 26.2% from the field and had 20 turnovers.
