Three Earn UAA Softball Honors

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Three Carnegie Mellon University softball players have been honored on the University Athletic Association (UAA) All-Association Softball Team for the 2026 season. Junior Maddy Beall was named to the first team while sophomore Reagan Diamond and senior Kira Monji were named to the second team.

Beall earned her second honor after being named to the second team last year. The junior outfielder led the Tartans in hits with 48 and batting average with a .432 clip for the season. In UAA play, Beall hit .370 with 17 hits and eight RBIs. She picked up seven walks and scored 13 runs while she had 16 walks and scored 35 runs for the season.

Diamond earned her second honor on the second team and finished the season with a .400 batting average and 42 hits. She led the team with 10 doubles and four home runs, and collected a team-leading 38 RBIs. The sophomore catcher also collected 17 hits in UAA play with 12 RBIs, four doubles, two home runs and eight runs scored with a .340 batting average.

Monji closed her career with her first honor from the UAA coaches after leading the team with 21 hits in UAA play and a .368 batting average. She stole seven bases, knocked in seven and scored 13 runs from her leadoff position. Monji, who split time at second base and shortstop this season, hit .404 for the year with 46 hits, 20 RBIs and 33 runs scored. She finished with 18 stolen bases to amass 53 for her career which is second all-time for the Tartans. Monji also closed her career second for the Tartans in hits with 147, runs scored with 97, doubles with 18 and triples with eight. She's the all-time leader in walks with 61.
