Tartans Take Third Place at UAA Championship
(EDWARDSVILLE, Ill.) - The 16th-ranked Carnegie Mellon men's cross country team competed at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship hosted by Washington University in St. Louis at a nearby course in Edwardsville, Illinois. The course featured a section in the forest with rolling hills, as the Tartans placed third out of eight teams, behind sixth-ranked NYU and ninth-ranked University of Chicago.

Inside the Results
- Finishing in second place overall, senior Ryan Podnar was the first Tartan to cross the finish line in a time of 24:49.9, just .03 seconds behind NYU's top scorer. Podnar achieved All-UAA First Team honors.
- The second Tartan to finish was junior Nicolo Fasanelli in 25:07.8 to place ninth, achieving All-UAA Second Team status.
- Finishing in 19th was junior Adam Kollgaard with a time of 25:24.9.
- Sophomore Oliver Moss was 28th overall with a time of 25:40.7.
- Rounding out the top five scorers for the Tartans was sophomore York Bourgeois with a time of 25:48.1.
- Junior Angelo Parrino and freshman Lysander Duffield finished 42nd and 49th, respectively, with times of 26:05.9 and 26:19.9.

The Tartans will race at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania, hosted by Dickinson College.
