Tartans Place Second at Home Invite

(CLINTON Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country returned to Clinton, Pennsylvania, to host the Carnegie Mellon Invitational after competing at the course earlier this year. The Tartans delivered an impressive performance, finishing second out of 20 teams with a total of 95 points on the 8k course. Adding to the excitement, 14 CMU Cross Country alumni came back to compete in the meet, forming a team that placed fifth overall. Their participation brought a spirited energy to the event and highlighted the lasting bonds within the Tartan running community.

Results:

  • Junior Nathan Massie finished first for the Tartans with a time of 25:16.9.
  • Sophomore York Bourgeois finished just behind in 12th, with a time of 25:19.70.
  • Crossing in 19th with a time of 25:36.40 was freshman Lysander Duffield.
  • Junior Christian Brower followed shortly behind placing 22nd overall with a time of 25:40.4.
  • The fifth Tartan to cross the line was freshman Stefan Langridge in 25:56.0 who placed 33rd.
  • Graduate student Donald Taggart finished in 26:27.30, and placed 56th.
