Podnar Closes Year at NCAA Championships
(LA CROSSE, Wis.) - Carnegie Mellon University men's track and field senior Ryan Podnar competed at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin La Crosse at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on Thursday.
Podnar competed in the 10,000-meter run and crossed with a time of 30:39.75 to place 20th. Podnar is the fourth Tartan to compete in the longest distance race of the meet, joining Matthew Porter '25 who ran in the event twice, and Matthew Coyle '25 and George Degen '15 who competed once each.
The meet continues for the Tartans on Friday, May 22 with sophomore Luke Freimanis competing in the 110-meter hurdles.
