Feies Receives UAA Recognition
(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University freshman Alex Feies was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Tennis Athletes of the Week as he helped the 27th-ranked Tartans to a 2-1 record over the weekend against three ranked opponents.
Feies went 5-0 combined in doubles and singles play with three wins coming at first singles and the other two at third doubles with teammate Daniel Kong. Feies' singles wins were all straight set victories, winning 6-1, 6-2 over Trevor Rein of 17th-ranked Mary Washington, 6-0, 6-3 over Dylan Blenkiron of 15th-ranked Johns Hopkins and 6-1, 6-2 over Diego Segovia of 32nd-ranked North Carolina Wesleyan. Feies now has a singles record of 23-7 and a doubles record of 15-8 this season.
The Tartans will play at Denison on Saturday, April 12 at 2:00 p.m.
