Alla Competes in USTA/ITA National Small College Quarterfinal

(SUMTER, S.C.) - Senior Abhishek Alla (Hyderabad, India/IMG Pendleton School) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team began play at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships on Thursday morning.  The three-day event is being held at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, South Carolina.

Alla faced Mohanad Al-Houni of Gustavus Adolphus College and dropped a straight set match 6-1, 7-5.  Alla will now face Nicolas Chua of the University of Chicago in the semifinal consolation round.  The two will square off on Friday morning beginning at 10:30 a.m.
