Tartans Win 2-0 at Juniata for Their Fourth Consecutive Shutout

(HUNTINGDON, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team traveled to compete against Juniata College on Tuesday, September 23. The Tartans won 2-0. This puts them at 6-0-3 overall, while the Eagles are at 5-2-2.

Inside the Box Score

• In the first half, the Tartans took nine shots and the Eagles took five. Seven minutes in, sophomore Tristan Gonzalez was the first to take a shot, as his header hit the post.
• At 38:13, sophomore Sola Nishimura scored the first goal of the game, assisted by graduate student Zach Moskowitz and sophomore Sandor Preda.
• In the second half the Tartans took five shots and the Eagles took six.
• Freshman Ben Park scored the second goal for the Tartans in the 54th minute.
• Goalie junior Kai Yamamoto recorded a shutout with four saves.
• The Tartans totaled 14 shots, seven of which were on goal.
