Bio

The 2026 season marks Tony Neymeiyer’s first as Carnegie Mellon’s Senior Associate Head Coach and Offensive Line Coach.

Neymeiyer comes to Carnegie Mellon from NAIA St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Florida, where he was the assistant head coach in 2025 and served as the offensive coordinator for six years. During his tenure at St. Thomas, the Bobcats compiled a 51-22 record and Neymeiyer's offense in 2023 led the NAIA in total scoring while the team recorded the program's first playoff victory. Throughout his tenure at St. Thomas, there were 13 All-Americans and 50 SUN Conference honorees while the program also had numerous players named conference positions of the year.

Neymeiyer spent three seasons (2016-2018) as the tight ends and tackles coach at Savannah State University (D1 - FCS) and helped lead the Tigers to the most wins in school history over a three-year period. As the Academic Coordinator, he helped the Tigers raise their standard in the classroom and the Tigers recorded the highest team GPA and APR scores in school history.

Prior to joining Savannah State, Neymeiyer was the offensive line coach at Notre Dame College (DII) for one season during his second stint at the school. He served as the offensive line graduate assistant at Eastern Michigan University (D1 - FBS) for two seasons, where he worked under Chris Creighton and with Kalen DeBoer and Ryan Grubb. Neymeiyer directly assisted the offensive staff in all phases of creating and installing the offensive philosophy and game plan, as well as working with the offensive line to help produce one of the top offenses in school history.

Neymeiyer has also been the offensive line coach at Baldwin Wallace University (DIII), the offensive line graduate assistant coach at Notre Dame College and coached at his alma mater, Wabash College (DIII), for a season as the tight ends and assistant offensive line coach. As a student-athlete at Wabash, Neymeiyer was a three-year letterwinner on the offensive line at center. He was voted team captain his senior season and was a first-team All-Conference, All-North Region and All-American in 2008. Wabash compiled a 40-7 record during his playing career, the winningest class in school history, claimed four North Coast Athletic Conference titles and advanced to the NCAA DIII playoffs on three occasions.

Neymeiyer is a 2009 graduate of Wabash College where he earned his bachelor's degree in English while minoring in religion/political science. The Bay City, Michigan native went on and earned his master's degree in sports management from Eastern Michigan in 2014.
